It's not about a Patriarchy at all... Half of Europe was ruled by women at various points... did they do any better than the Kings. Not really. It's called Western Colonisation. Just as humans have been doing for centuries trying to control others. Nothing about men or women.

We call it a Patriarchy because men took the lead that's it. It would be called a Matriarchy if women took the lead.
