That advice is called acting a jester and bending to her whims.

Look only she decideds what is boring or not. Just as you as a guy decides what you find boring or isn't boring.

If someone finds what you're doing boring, you can ask them why it's boring or continue doing it without them.

As for relationships, they always get slow (not necessarily boring) because it's called the novelty wearing off. It happens.
